Andrew Royal Dugas first came to yoga through his music studies at Rice University in 1997. In 2003 he stopped playing classical music to teach yoga full-time. His style of teaching is a result of a combination of inquiry into the function and form of Raja Yoga and a distinct influence from his teacher and friend, Robert Boustany. His exploration of the body allows for an appropriate class for anyone, at any level, at any point in their life. You can often find students between 12 and 70 years old, pregnant goddesses, self-conscious absolute beginners and seasoned teachers in the same class, each able to be exactly at their level. The atmosphere is inclusive, open, informative and empowering.
