Bassem is from Rayak, Lebanon and moved to the United States in 2001. He has a strong athletic background playing both table tennis and soccer growing up.
Bassem holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University, where he also played club table tennis and soccer. His skills in table tennis facilitated an easy transition to pickleball, and he quickly made a name for himself in the Houston area. Currently ranked #227 in the world, Bassem remains active in professional tournaments, primarily on the PPA tour. He has a passion for coaching and is excited to be part of the Houstonian family.
