New Year, New You

2020 really threw us a curveball did it not? We started the year full of hopes and dreams, and as time passed, we watched those dreams disappear. We entered a world most of us had never experienced. There was fear, pain and loss. We stopped everything. We stopped seeing our families, we stopped going out with our friends, we stopped exercising, we quit going to the grocery store, we gained weight and we watched our children struggle with missing their friends and their world, as they knew.

It is time to dust ourselves off! Enough is enough! We cannot control everything, but there are things we can control. We can slowly start to bring ourselves back to life in a safe way. We can start to do some of the things that made us happy once upon a time. We deserve to feel good and be happy!

Put one foot in front of the other! What are your health and wellness goals for 2021?  Do you need to lose weight? Do you want to learn how to eat better? Do you need to reduce stress? Do you need a staycation? Do you need to sleep better? Do you need to lower your blood pressure or cholesterol?

Make a plan! Set a goal and a timeframe for reaching that goal. Check in on your goals each week to make sure you are staying on track and making progress. Write your goals down and do little tasks that bring you closer to reaching your ultimate goals!

You can do this! You deserve this! Our world may have changed but we can adapt and find our way back to health, wellness and happiness! Cheers to a New Year and NEW YOU!
