Keeping Kids Active

Keeping your children physically active is extremely important. It’s nice for parents to not have to fight to get their children to go to sleep because they have used their energy doing activities that are healthy for their bodies and their minds. There are many reasons parents should keep their children active. These reasons include preventing and reducing health problems, stress relief, focus improvement and increased self-esteem.

There are a few different forms of exercise children need regularly namely cardiovascular, muscle strengthening and weight bearing exercise. There are numerous games to play, activities to do or even classes your children can take to keep them as active.

Here are a few helpful hints to help keep your children active:
  1. Find an activity that your child enjoys and that is developmentally appropriate.
  2. Plan ahead and have a good place and time to do the activity.
  3. Be a role model and show your children how to enjoy exercising.
  4. Don’t overdo it.
We have a number of complimentary and fee-based classes you can enroll your child/children in to keep them active. We have soccer, Pickleball, boxing, yoga, sports conditioning, tennis, swimming and basketball lessons your children ages 5 and up can attend, just to name a few!
