Dear Houstonian Club Member,
We would like to inform you that because of growing interest in the Houstonian Club, our exciting Club renovation, and a positive market outlook in Houston, the Houstonian Club will be increasing our initiation fees for the Couple and Family membership categories, effective Aug. 1, 2019.
This will only affect your membership if:
- You owe a Junior or other type of initiation fee balance.
- You are considering the purchase of a Legacy membership for your child(ren).
- You have an Associate Membership and are considering an upgrade to a Resident Membership.
Should you have family or friends who are considering applying for Membership, you may want to inform them of this price increase. As the Member Sponsor, you will receive a referral credit on your Membership Account. The credit amount will vary depending on the type of Membership purchased by the new Member you referred. Resales, Membership Reinstatements, and Corporately-held Membership Transfers are not eligible for referral credits.
The application process is as follows:
- An application is filled out completely by the prospective Member.
- New Members are required to have recommendations from a primary sponsor. Sponsors must be Members in good standing at The Houstonian Club.
- A recommendation from the applicable Club Membership Representative accompanies the application of the prospective Member.
- A recommendation from a previous club is preferred. However, if the prospective Member has not belonged to a club in the past, they may be required to interview with the Director of Membership.
All new membership applications will be reviewed by The Membership Committee for final approval.
