/ Improving Your Tennis Game 101
What is one of the best teaching tennis tools that exists? The answer is the backboard. Any professional tennis player will tell you they spend hours training against the wall. They will also admit if you were to take away the time spent over the years on the backboard they would probably not be playing professional tennis today. There are many drills one can do against the wall. The most important drill is the basic rally. Work on hitting the ball into the wall while trying to remain in the same general area on the court. This type of drill will help work control into your game. Without good control, the wall drill would be a disaster with the student running everywhere. If a player can keep a basic rally going against the wall, this skill will transfer into their rally skills on the full court.
