As
simple as that sounds, when we are rushed, we may not always be as respectful
of our fellow Members as we should be. Whether it is driving
safely on campus or in the garage, picking up towels and placing trash in
receptacles, or cleaning equipment after use, everyone should use common
courtesy and take other Members and guests into consideration when it comes to having
respect for their health and wellbeing.
Here are some suggested courtesies
that will enhance the overall experience for all Members and guests on our
campus:
- Be watchful for Members and guests coming from all directions
while driving onto campus. The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa is a large
campus, and people will be walking on the paths and crossing the street. Always
give walkers and joggers the right-of-way.
- Be aware of other vehicles and follow the signage that is posted.
Drive carefully and respectfully.
- Don’t be a "zombie walker”. In other words, don’t walk with your
focus on your phone. This can be unsafe for yourself and others so please focus
on your surroundings and enjoy our beautiful campus safely.
- Follow the posted speed limits while driving on campus and in
the garage and always be aware of your surroundings and fellow Members. Drive
slowly and carefully and park in the appropriate location for your type of
vehicle.
- Please be sure to clean up after yourself in all areas. While
The Houstonian Club has a wonderful staff to take care of your towels and other
needs, it is common courtesy to put your towel in the bin and throw your trash
in the provided receptacles throughout the Club.
- When in the Fitness Center, please observe the 30-minute time
limit on cardio equipment while others are waiting and please do not occupy any
piece of equipment while checking your phone for long periods of time.
- Be respectful of others by silencing your phone while in classes,
at the spa or anywhere that could be disruptive to others. Never FaceTime or
speak loudly on the phone while in the Club and especially while in the locker
rooms.
Thank you for your membership, and we appreciate your commitment
to our Houstonian Club family.
Respectfully,
The Houstonian Club
