We have listened to your valuable feedback and are thrilled to announce the transformation of our Resident Locker Rooms.
In collaboration with Fabiano Architects, we are expanding and renovating these exclusive spaces to offer you an unparalleled level of luxury and sophistication.
New Features to Anticipate:
- All new look & feel with updated finishes, furnishings, flooring, ceilings, and lighting
- Expanded and tranquil "Quiet Lounges” for gathering and relaxing with friends with lush views of the Club's wooded surroundings
- Light-filled locker areas, lit mirrors, dry vanities, all new finishes, and elegant millwork
- 2 cold plunges and one body dryer per locker room for ultimate rejuvenation
- Entirely new wet areas with larger dry saunas for an enhanced healing experience
- Additional private phone and workspaces
What to Expect:
There may be intermittent closures during the renovation, which we will communicate via email and signage, however most construction in these areas will occur overnight to limit disruptions during your time at the Club. Due to the scope of work in the Men’s and Women’s Resident Locker Room wet areas, they will need to be completely reconstructed. Therefore, we will need to close the wet areas (showers, sinks, toilets, steam rooms, whirlpools, saunas) beginning Dec. 9, for the duration of the project, which is anticipated to be approximately seven months. Resident Members will be able to use the restrooms available on the Resident level, the Associate Locker Room wet areas, or the four Private Changing Rooms located between the Associate Locker Rooms during this time. There are also Private Changing Rooms in the Aquatics complex for those Members who utilize the pools. Resident Renovation FAQs
- Will I still be able to use my locker during the renovation?
- Yes, we will communicate any short-term closures or relocations, however, most services will be available except for the wet areas.
- How long will the renovation take?
- We anticipate the entire locker room renovation will be completed by the end of June 2025.
- What restrooms are available with the wet areas closed?
- Please refer to the map below to see restrooms available. There is a single male and single female restroom in the fitness center. One of the massage rooms was converted into a female private changing room with a toilet, sink, and shower. The Associate Locker Room and restrooms in the Atrium are also available. In the Men’s Resident Locker Room lounge there is a newly constructed restroom with two stalls and two urinals available.
- How can I shower, sauna or use the steam room with the wet areas closed?
- The Associate Locker Rooms have these amenities and are available for your use during the renovation. Please note that we have day and night construction crews working around the clock to complete this renovation as quickly as possible.
- How can I use the whirlpool with the wet areas closed?
- The whirlpool adjacent to the Resort Pool is available for your use during the renovation.
- How do I enter and exit the Resident Locker Room?
- The doors adjacent to the fitness center, the men’s entry/exit to the Next Level, and the women’s entry/exit adjacent to the Surge Cycle Studio will not be available. Women may use the entry/exit off the Resident Lobby and men may use the main double door entry to the Men’s Resident Locker Room.
- Will coffee and tea and the other amenities be available during the renovation on the Resident level?
- Yes, coffee, tea, fruit and pretzels will be available throughout the renovation.
- Can I get a locker in the Associate Locker Room during the renovation? What about laundry service?
- Yes, please contact Locker Rooms Manager Jon Hopkin at jhopkin@houstonian.com to inquire about an additional locker in the Associate Locker Room. You may also request a locker through the Houstonian App. The Women's Associate Locker Room has both full-sized and half-sized lockers available and the Men's Associate Locker Room has half-sized lockers available. Please note that if you relinquish your locker in the Resident Locker Room, we cannot guarantee your locker will be available when the renovation is complete. Resident and Associate lockers both offer laundry service and are divided by different color bags. You may drop either bag, Associate or Resident, into any bin and it will be returned to the designated locker associated with the bag.

Will robes be available?
- Yes, robes will still be available in the Resident Locker Room. These are for your use while at the Club and should not be removed from The Houstonian Club.
