May is Mental Health Awareness Month

National Mental Health Awareness Month highlights the importance of the unseen parts of our lives. The relationship we have with our thoughts dictates a lot of how we experience the world. Did you know that you don’t have to believe your thoughts? That consideration may be startling yet helpful in shifting our perspective. A few of the mind/body classes at The Houstonian are highlighted below and are open to all members to cultivate steady, curious awareness of the present moment with lots of kindness for ourselves and others, key ingredients to our mental health hygiene.
